A story shaped by heritage, family, food
and a new chapter on Bardstown Road.
HAVANA ROOTS
STORY THAT BEGA ON ASEO DEL RADO
Long before Prado 264 opened in Louisville, the name belonged to a well-known restaurant on Havana’s historic Paseo del Prado.
Years later, according to Luis Gonzalez’s family history, his father became involved with the redevelopment of the original property. During that process, materials connected to the restaurant’s past were recovered, including recipes the family believes originated from the original Prado 264.
That connection would eventually become the starting point for a very different Prado 264.
HAVANA ROOTS • A NEW STORY TO TELL
A NEW CHAPTER
ROM HAVANATO ARDSTOWN OAD
Years later, Luis Gonzalez and his wife, Lisanne Garcia, began imagining what Prado 264 could become for a new generation.
Both Cuban natives, they spent years living in Miami before an unexpected connection with Louisville changed the direction of their plans. What had initially been imagined for Florida found its home instead in The Highlands, where they transformed 1514 Bardstown Road into a new Prado 264.
Not a recreation of the restaurant that once existed in Havana, but a contemporary concept shaped by heritage, experience, and their own vision of hospitality.
